FAAST Aspirating Smoke Detection

Fire Alarm Aspiration Sensing Technology. It is the aspirating smoke detection line from Honeywell and System Sensor: instead of waiting for smoke to reach a point detector, a fan draws air from the protected area through a sampling pipe network back to a detector unit. We supply the FAAST FLEX units along with LT filters, spares and purging accessories.

Channels. FLX-010 is a single channel ASD unit and FLX-020 is a dual channel unit, so one FLX-020 covers two separate sampling pipe runs and reports them independently. Both are also made in loop-connected versions — MI-FLX-010 and MI-FLX-020 — which communicate on the System Sensor addressable protocol.

MI-FLX-010 (single channel) and MI-FLX-020 (dual channel) are addressable, loop-connected on the System Sensor protocol, so the aspirator reports as a device rather than through volt-free contacts. Where you are connecting a FAAST LT aspirator instead, the mains-powered interface S4-34440-ASD is the part to ask about — batteries are not included with it.

Yes. Filters include FL-IF-2 (spare filter, pack of two), the F-INF-25 external pipe filter and its F-INF-25-RF replacement pack, and F-A3384-000 for FAAST 7100E, 8100E and 9400X units. Service parts run to the F-SEN-SSE replacement sensor for a standalone LT200, the P87-0511-001 fan assembly and the G07-0199-000 fan gasket.
