Thirty-plus years of hands-on Gent by Honeywell design and commissioning, sat behind one phone line. We are an approved Gent System Integrator and Platinum Partner, BAFE SP203-1 certified, and a member of the Fire Industry Association — based at Hawker Business Park, Burton on the Wolds.

Our certification scope under BAFE SP203-1 covers the design, installation, commissioning and maintenance of fire detection and alarm systems — the full lifecycle, audited by BSI. We design, install and commission systems across Honeywell's UK fire-detection portfolio — Honeywell Gent, Morley-IAS Fire Systems, Xtralis VESDA — placing orders directly with each manufacturer rather than through wholesalers.
Why we hold our own stock.
We hold Gent by Honeywell stock on the shelf — including parts Gent themselves can be short on. The reason is simple: a new install or a phased project does not care that the wholesaler's lead time has slipped four weeks. Sites need parts now.
Gent by Honeywell is the core of our stockroom. For the wider Honeywell portfolio — Morley-IAS, Xtralis VESDA, FAAST aspirating smoke detection, Li-ion Tamer and PA/VA — we source direct from the manufacturer.

Wherever Gent specifies, we work. The estates differ but the engineering discipline is the same — proper as-fitted drawings, proper cause-and-effect, proper commissioning sheets.

Do you only work on Gent by Honeywell systems?
Gent is the core of what we do — it is what our engineering experience is built on and what we hold on the shelf. We also design, install and commission Morley-IAS, Xtralis VESDA, FAAST aspirating smoke detection, Li-ion Tamer and Honeywell PA/VA where it suits the site.
Are you actually a Gent Platinum Partner?
Yes — Midland Fire Direct holds Honeywell Gent Platinum Partner and Gent System Integrator status. Platinum is the highest tier of the Gent by Honeywell partner network. You can verify us against Gent's Approved Network listing.
What is the BAFE SP203-1 scope?
BAFE SP203-1 covers the design, installation, commissioning and maintenance of fire detection and alarm systems. We are certified for all four scopes under Certificate 102067 (Registered Organisation 301876), audited by BSI.
Can you supply parts only — without a site visit?
Yes. A lot of our work is trade supply to fire contractors who already have the engineers — they just need the part on the van tomorrow. Call 0844 997 0001 with the SKU or describe what is on the panel and we will confirm stock.
Do you cover the whole UK?
Design, supply and commissioning across mainland UK. We are based at Hawker Business Park, Burton on the Wolds — just off the M1 in the East Midlands.
