Is Morley-IAS part of Honeywell?

Yes — Morley-IAS is a Honeywell fire-safety brand, sold as Morley-IAS by Honeywell and sitting alongside stablemates such as Gent and Xtralis. Midland Fire Direct supplies the Morley-IAS range to fire alarm engineers, contractors and specifiers across mainland UK.

What is the difference between Morley DXc and ZXSe?

Generation and loop count. DXc is the later panel family — DXc1, DXc2 and DXc4 give one, two or four loops with two sounder circuits, expansion backboxes and an optional network card. ZXSe came before it and spans ZX1Se, ZX2Se and ZX5Se from one to five loops with a four-line display and networking. Plenty of ZXSe panels are still in service, so we carry the spares as well as the current DXc range.

Which loop protocols do Morley panels support?

More than one. DXc base cards support Apollo, System Sensor and Hochiki protocols, with a separate two-loop base card for Morley protocol. On the ZXe and ZXSe panels the protocol is set by the loop driver card fitted — cards exist for Apollo Series 90 and XP95, Apollo Discovery, Hochiki ESP, System Sensor, Morley and Nittan. Tell us the protocol on the loop and we will match the card.

Can I still get spares for ZXSe panels?

In most cases, yes. We hold ZXSe power supplies, base cards, retrofit display kits, zone LED cards, bezel and glass door kits, back boxes and replacement software sets for panels that are out of current production but still installed. Send the panel model and the part number and we will confirm what is available.
