Midland Fire Direct provides fire alarm system supply, installation, commissioning, technical support, lifecycle replacement, and upgrade services across a range of Honeywell fire systems. Our team has over 30 years of hands-on industry experience working with commercial and industrial fire alarm systems throughout the UK.

Are you an approved Gent System Integrator?

Yes. Midland Fire Direct is an approved Gent by Honeywell System Integrator. We support customers with system supply, commissioning, upgrades, replacement devices, technical support and lifecycle management for both existing and new Gent systems.

What is the Honeywell Gent Platinum Partner programme?

Platinum Partner is the top tier of Gent by Honeywell's UK approved partner network. Platinum Partners hold the highest level of training, technical competence and customer service standards across the Gent product range, including Vigilon, Nano, S-Quad, S-Cubed and S4 interfaces.

Do you only supply fire alarm equipment?

No. While we supply a wide range of fire alarm products and replacement equipment, we also provide installation, commissioning, upgrade support and technical services.

What fire alarm brands do you work with?

In addition to Gent by Honeywell, we support a range of other Honeywell fire and life-safety products including:

Can you help upgrade existing fire alarm systems?

Yes. We regularly assist customers with system upgrades, panel replacements, phased migrations and lifecycle replacement planning for existing fire alarm installations.

Do Gent systems support backwards compatibility?

In many cases, yes. One of the advantages of Gent by Honeywell systems is their long-term compatibility approach, which can help reduce disruption during upgrades and lifecycle replacement projects. Compatibility depends on the age and configuration of the existing system, and we can advise on the best upgrade route.

Can you help with obsolete or discontinued systems?

Yes. While some older equipment may no longer be available, we can normally recommend suitable upgrade paths or replacement solutions — typically a current device with a software upgrade, or a new panel where appropriate. Many Gent by Honeywell systems maintain strong backwards compatibility, allowing phased upgrades or integration with newer equipment.

Do you provide commissioning services?

Yes. We provide commissioning and technical support services for selected fire alarm systems and upgrade projects.

Can you provide technical support for existing systems?

Yes. We support customers with fault finding, replacement devices, compatibility advice and upgrade guidance across a wide range of Honeywell fire systems.
