Aspirating Detection Pipework and Fittings

25mm ABS is the standard main run, with 10mm capillary tube used for drops to discrete sampling points. We list 25mm pipe and the matching fitting set — sockets, unions, bends, elbows, tees and end caps — in both red and white, plus capillary tube and the 25mm-to-10mm tees and adaptors that join the two.

The colour. Red is the usual choice in plant rooms, warehouses, voids and risers where the pipe is visible and wants identifying as fire equipment. White is specified where the run crosses a finished ceiling or an occupied space. The same fitting set is listed in both, so a job can be run in one colour throughout or split by area.

By the pipe-run design. The aspirating detector's design calculation sets the hole diameter at each sampling point so airflow stays balanced from the far end of the run back to the detector. Push-in sampling clips let an engineer fit a defined hole size on site, from a 0.0mm blanking clip up to 6.5mm, rather than relying on the drill bit.
