When is wireless fire detection the right call?
Usually when running cable is the obstacle rather than the cost of the devices — listed and historic buildings, premises that cannot be closed, asbestos-affected voids, phased refurbishments, and temporary detection while a permanent system is out of service. The design work is the same; only the transmission path changes.
How do wireless devices connect to an addressable panel?
Through a gateway on the loop. The Agile gateway (M200G-RF-26) is loop-powered and presents the radio devices to the panel as addressable points, and repeaters such as M200F-RF extend coverage where the radio path will not reach. On the ES Detect side, the 805595.1 transceiver interface performs the equivalent job for wireless bases.
Are wireless fire detection devices EN 54 approved?
The wireless detector base 805593.1 and the wireless transceiver interface 805595.1 are both listed to EN 54 part 25, the standard covering radio-linked components. Approvals differ device by device, so tell us which items are going on the drawing and we will confirm the current certification for each before you specify it.
How are wireless detectors serviced at height?
With a pole and cup. POLE HWKIT is a telescopic access pole extending from 1.5 to 5.2 m, CUP HWKIT is the head used for setup and maintenance of Agile wireless detectors, and SOLOADAPT HWKIT adapts the cup to existing access poles you already carry.
Do you supply wireless devices to trade and end users?
