Gent Nano Fire Alarm Panels
The Nano 24 is Gent's compact single-loop addressable fire alarm panel — the right fit where one loop covers the building and a larger networked system would be over-specified. We supply the panel, accessories and spares to trade, UK-wide.
A compact addressable panel for smaller sites.
Gent Nano is an analogue addressable fire alarm control panel used as the hub of a compact system. It is typically selected where a straightforward addressable layout is preferred over larger multi-panel solutions — small to mid-size premises such as offices, local retail units and smaller education buildings, where a single main panel with clear day-to-day operation meets the project brief.
The Nano 24 supports a single addressable detection and alarm circuit, working with compatible Gent loop-powered field devices — detectors, manual call points, sounders and interface modules — so field wiring stays consistent with the rest of the Gent estate. It is deliberately a standalone panel: non-networkable, with no repeat-panel option, which keeps commissioning simple on the sites it is designed for.

Nano 24 or Vigilon? A quick steer.
The Nano 24 runs one loop and stands alone. The Gent Vigilon Plus range starts at one loop and scales to four per panel, takes network cards and nodes for multi-panel sites, and supports repeat panels — so estates, larger buildings and phased projects normally land on Vigilon. If the design needs a second loop, a repeater, or the panel networked to anything else, specify Vigilon; if one loop genuinely covers the building, the Nano keeps cost and commissioning time down without leaving the Gent device ecosystem.
Either way the field devices stay in the same family — Gent addressable detectors, call points and sounder/VAD bases — which is why the Nano is a popular recommendation for smaller jobs handled by teams who already install and maintain Gent systems.
Batteries are not included — and that matters for compliance.
The Nano 24 requires 2 × 4015-501-YFR — Power Sonic 12V 7Ah flame-retardant standby batteries — to meet compliance requirements. They ship separately, so include them on the order: we stock them in the flame-retardant batteries range alongside the panel. Standby and alarm duration should be verified against BS 5839-1 for the specific site before sign-off.
Common Gent Nano questions.
Is the Gent Nano panel networkable?
No. The Nano 24 is a standalone single-loop panel and is not networkable. Sites that need panel networking, repeat panels or more than one loop should look at the Gent Vigilon range — Vigilon Plus panels run 1 to 4 loops and support network cards and nodes.
What batteries does the Gent Nano 24 need?
The Nano 24 ships without standby batteries. It requires 2 × 4015-501-YFR — Power Sonic 12V 7Ah flame-retardant batteries — to meet compliance requirements. We stock them alongside the panel; standby duration should always be checked against BS 5839-1 for the site.
Is there a Gent Nano repeater panel?
The Nano 24 is designed as a self-contained panel and does not support repeat panels. If the fire strategy calls for repeaters or multi-panel networking, the Gent Vigilon range covers it — we supply Vigilon panels, repeat panels and network hardware from stock.
Where can I get the Gent Nano manual?
We supply Gent Nano documentation — installation and operation manuals and datasheets — with equipment orders, and can usually provide them on request to trade customers. Get in touch or call 0844 997 0001 and we will send the current revision. See our Gent manuals & documentation index for the official sources.
