The S4TB-711-V-VAD-HPR is the black version of the range's most complete part: dual-angle optical and heat sensing, voice sounder and high-power red VAD, finished in RAL 9005 rather than RAL 9010. Sensing, outputs, channels and plate declaration are identical to the white part; only the housing colour and the base it needs are different.
Black bodies are specified where the ceiling is dark and a white detector would be conspicuous — exposed-services retail, galleries, auditoria and hospitality. It is worth ordering the base at the same time, because the standard white base is the wrong finish for this head and is the more commonly stocked item.
Note the prefix, which catches people out on quoting: the Self-Test range appends B to the prefix as S4TB-, where the earlier S-Quad range puts BK inside the prefix. The white equivalent of this part is S4T-711-V-VAD-HPR.

Compatibility
Needs the black S4BK-700 base and black S4BK-705 plate, not the white pair. Self-Test needs the Vigilon loop of a Vigilon plus or Compact plus panel on compatible firmware
Installation
Loop currents, coverage and commissioning are exactly as the white part, so the drawing does not change when the finish does. What does change is the order: black base and black plate, not the white ones, and the semi-flush kit is published in white only, so confirm the finish route before committing to a semi-flush ceiling detail.
