Overview

The S4T-711-V-VAD-HPR is the fully loaded white part of the Self-Test range: dual-angle optical and heat sensing, a voice sounder and a high-power red VAD in a single loop-powered head. It uses four analogue channels and carries the longest plate declaration in the range, EN 54-3, 5, 7, 17, 18 and 23.

One device, one pair of terminals, three functions — which is the argument for this part over a separate detector and wall VAD, and the reason the loop calculation matters more here than anywhere else in the range. At the High setting with Turbo enabled a single device can ask for 20.5 mA.

The black-bodied version of exactly this specification is S4TB-711-V-VAD-HPR. Dropping the voice sounder gives S4T-711-VAD-HPR; dropping the strobe gives S4T-711-V.

Compatibility

Fits the S4-700 base with the S4-705 IP21C plate. Self-Test needs the Vigilon loop of a Vigilon plus or Compact plus panel on compatible firmware, and the loop must be sized with the Battery Standby and Loop Load calculator.

Installation

Commission this one in the right order: device type first, then VAD intensity to match the coverage the drawing assumed, then flash rate left at two seconds for EN 54-23, then message and volume. Channel 5 covers strobe, speech and sounder faults together, so a single channel-5 fault does not tell you which of the three has failed.
