The S4T-720 is the heat-only head of the Gent S-Quad Self-Test range and the simplest part in it: one analogue channel (2, heat), a plate declaring EN 54-5, 17 and 18, and no smoke sensing at all.
Because there is no optical chamber there is no EN 54-7 line on the plate and nothing for the smoke side of the self-test routine to exercise — only the thermistor is heated and read back. That makes it the part for kitchens, boiler rooms and loading bays, where an optical head would be a nuisance source rather than a detector.
Heat detectors are spaced more tightly than smoke detectors, so this is not a one-for-one substitution for S4T-710 positions on a drawing. The same heat block with a sounder is the S4T-780-S.

Compatibility
Same mounting parts as the rest of the range: S4-700 base, S4-705 plate, S4-FLUSH kit. Self-Test needs the Vigilon loop of a Vigilon plus or Compact plus panel on compatible firmware.
Installation
Only one analogue value should appear against this address. Gent gives the heat self-test an expected working range of 0 to 40 °C, and asks for air movement around the device to be within 0 to 1.5 m/s while a test runs, which is worth knowing before siting one near a make-up air grille in a plant room.
