Overview

The S4T-720-V-VAD-HPR combines heat-only detection with both alarm outputs the Self-Test range offers — a voice sounder and a high-power red VAD. It uses just two analogue channels, 2 for heat and 5 for alarm-device faults, and its plate declares EN 54-3, 5, 17, 18 and 23.

It is the specification for a kitchen, plant room or workshop that still sits on an evacuation route: full audible and visual alarm coverage from one device, with a sensing element that will not react to cooking or exhaust aerosols. Detection performance is heat performance, so spacing follows heat rules even though the alarm coverage is that of a full-output VAD.

Gent prints this part's label marking as H/VS/RVAD/HP, with a slash between RVAD and HP where the rest of the VAD line-up prints RVAD-HP; that is reproduced here as printed. For dual-angle optical sensing on the same output set, the part is S4T-711-V-VAD-HPR.

Compatibility

Fits the S4-700 base with the S4-705 IP21C plate. Self-Test needs the Vigilon loop of a Vigilon plus or Compact plus panel on compatible firmware

Installation

This part draws both currents at once, so use the combined VAD-and-sounder figures for the loop calculation, not the VAD-only column — the difference between Low non-Turbo and High Turbo is 8 mA against 20.5 mA per device. Leave the flash at the two-second rate for EN 54-23 compliance.
