The S4T-780-S is the heat-only Self-Test head with a sounder built in. Two analogue channels are used — 2 for heat and 5 for alarm-device faults — and the plate declares EN 54-3, 5, 17 and 18, with no EN 54-7 line because there is no optical chamber.
This is the sounder part for areas that rule out smoke sensing altogether: kitchens, garages, drying rooms. Detection coverage is heat coverage, but the audible output is the same integrated sounder carried by the optical parts, so a mixed layout can still be one device type and one pair of terminals throughout.

Compatibility
Fits the S4-700 base with the S4-705 IP21C plate. Self-Test needs the Vigilon loop of a Vigilon plus or Compact plus panel on compatible firmware.
Installation
Two analogue values only, so a heat reading and a fault channel; there is no optical value to look for at the panel. Volume is set at the device and must stay at or above 65 dBA at 1 m, and Turbo mode adds 3 dB at a higher current draw.
