The black version of the dual-optical voice sensor sounder, and the one part in this group whose baffle ring deliberately does not match its body. That ring is white, because a white ring is how an installed S-Quad declares it has sound.
Every function of the white voice head is present, reporting the same four channels upward. The difference is purely visual — and it only holds if base and ingress plate are ordered black as well.

Compatibility
Needs an ingress plate to satisfy the EN 54-3 mounting condition, in black: S4BK-705 over S4BK-700. The white equivalent is S4-711-V; the silent black head is S4BK-711.
Installation
No black semi-flush option exists, so plan a surface base from the outset, and check the grid: a dark assembly against a light ceiling draws the eye far more than its white counterpart.
